[Xen-users] xen fails to boot on linux kernel 4.6 with debian

I installed debian jessie ( 8.3 ) which comes default with linux kernel 3.16. I upgraded the linux kernel to 4.3. Debian loads fine after the upgrade.ÂÂI changed pin stretch and stretch-updates to 499, jessie and jessie-updates to 500 -- so that I can install xen 4.6.

When I'm booting into Xen after making it the default in grub Xen 4.6 with Linux 4.3.0-1 the bootup just freezes.Â

Xen 4.6 and Linux 3.16.0-4 Â -- boots OK

Xen 4.4 and Linux 4.3.0-1 Â-- boot FAILS

Xen 4.4 and Linux 3.16.0-4 Â -- boots OK
