[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-users] dom0 pvh successfull, but no console
Hi all. I have an ubuntu 18.04 LTS with edge kernel (v5), and I set up xen with these options: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset nosplash quiet" GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="ipv6.disable=1" GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN_DEFAULT="dom0=pvh dom0_mem=4096M,max:4096M dom0_max_vcpus=4 dom0_vcpus_pin" without dom0=pvh everything works as expected. WITH dom0=pvh I have network and I can SSH on the server, but I cannot see anything on the screen. keystrokes via the keyboard are going in. The monitor does not turn into sleep, but it is active, but completely blank. Not even a cursor blinking. I guess in pvh0 mode I should add something to the boot line to have the phisical console enabled. Unfortunately both console=vga and console=hvc0 turned to be efectless. Does anyone has idea how can I bring back the local login screen (tty console) while using dom0=pvh? Also, for some reason I still see the qemu process running (even tough that I should not need it ut I should not need it for dom0 pvh): /usr/bin/qemu-system-i386 -xen-domid 0 -xen-attach -name dom0 -nographic -M xenpv -daemonize -monitor /dev/null -serial /dev/null -parallel /dev/null -nodefaults -no-user-config -pidfile /var/run/xen/qemu-dom0.pid Thank you.
