1.8.0 has just been released[0]. osstest flight 34755 is currently
testing rel-1.8.0~4 which is one new commit over the current tested
baseline, but that commit and all the ones between it and rel-1.8.0 are
ones which don't affect the actual functionality (most are docs, one is
against the checkstack.pl tool and doesn't seem relevant since we aren't
hitting the underlying issue).

So I think we are good to update, see patch below.
