I think I may have asked the wrong question there and then read the
answer in the context of the question I thought I'd asked. IOW most of
the rest of my mail was predicated on xend behaving differently to how
you've just explained via showing completeRestore().

It seems Wei is on the case so I'm just going to butt out...
