Hi, I have a problem with VGA passthrough. Passthrough of other devices (like USB or Ethernet controller) works fine, but when I try to unbind VGA controller, it isn't working properly. The behaviour after unbinding is very nondeterministic. The SSH connection always fails, sometimes I'm not able to establish it again, sometimes I can connect but the system doesn't seem to work OK and I'm never able to bind VGA controller to pci-stub. What I do: - connect to dom0 via SSH using putty # lspci 0f:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Device 68c9 #lspci -n 0f:00.0 0300: 1002:68c9 #echo -n "1002 68c9" > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/pci-stub/new_id #echo -n "0000:0f:00.0" > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:0f\:00.0/driver/unbin -> fail (I've also try #echo -n 0000:0f:00.0 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/radeon/unbind with the same result) Please, would you be so kind to give me some advise how to solve this problem or provide me some useful links? Here is basic info about my configuration: SW: Fedora 16, kernel 3.2.7-1.fc16.x86_64, Xen 4.1.2-6.fc16 HW: HP Z400, ATI FirePro v3800 If you need more, please ask. Thanks a lot!
