Hmmm. Been doing some reading and it could be because I am using SMP and how the CPUs are being allocated. I have tried to set Dom0 to only use one CPU by setting :- # In SMP system, dom0 will use dom0-cpus # of CPUS # If dom0-cpus = 0, dom0 will take all cpus available (dom0-cpus 1) But when I look at the xm dmesg I get :- (XEN) CPU0: AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 250 stepping 0a (XEN) Mapping cpu 0 to node 255 (XEN) Mapping cpu 1 to node 255 (XEN) CPU1: AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 250 stepping 0a (XEN) Brought up 2 CPUs (XEN) Dom0 has maximum 2 VCPUs then xm vcpu-list gives :- Name ID VCPUs CPU State Time(s) CPU Affinity Domain-0 0 0 0 r-- 2671.5 any cpu Domain-0 0 1 - --p 17.7 0 zimbra 3 0 1 -b- 858.7 1 Does this all look correct ? I believe that Domain-0 is now pinned to CPU 0 and zimbra is pinned to CPU 1. What is the first Domain-0 line telling me?
