So how do I best calculate the > memory need for dom0 One of the problems that can happen is that ballooning dom0 down by a lot sometimes confuses Linux and makes it think that there's terrible memory pressure when there actually isn't. I think this was one of the causes of these errors - starting dom0 with a smaller memory footprint avoids this because you don't have to balloon it so drastically.
