Hi,

I'm running sles9 domU and installed ldap in it (practical I installed
all on wmware - everything was working fine - and then copied all to
sles10 dom0). Every services are working fine except ldap.

Ob boot I get:

startproc: exit status of parent of /usr/lib/openldap/slapd: 1

/etc/init.d/ldap start is equal to

/sbin/startproc -t 1 -p /var/run/slapd/slapd.pid /usr/lib/openldap/
lapd -h "ldap:///"; -u ldap -g ldap -4

in /var/log/messages I get only this line:
slapd[3858]: @(#) $OpenLDAP: slapd 2.2.24 (Jul 28 2006 16:40:32) $
 abuild@c001n01:/usr/src/packages/BUILD/openldap-2.2.24/servers/slapd

If I omit -4 at the end of command (I've added as I've read that ipv6
and xen do not get along)

I get in var/log/messages

slapd[4057]: daemon: IPv6 socket() failed errno=97 (Address family not
supported by protocol)

I don't know what to do...

Thank you all...
