Hi, I believe that i undertand the concept of sedf scheduler: each process (VM( runs X millisecond (slice) every X millisecond (period). The wikepedia article says that the sum of slice1/period1 + slice2/period2 + ... + sliceN/periodN is the porcentage of CPU used, so I think that the sum must never be greater than one. The question is, what it the recommended value por slice/period, for example, for web hosting virtual machines (20 virtual machines). What is better, use the weigth or set the slice/period manually? I can't find good information about scheduling in the web or mailing list. regards, diegows -- ------------------- Diego Woitasen ------------------- _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
