Please keep in mind that Intel officially doesn't support passing
through physical functions of NICs to guests; only SR-IOV VF
pass-through is supported from what they've been telling us. This
may well have to do with (wild guess!) them knowing their PF
drivers not working reliably in unprivileged guests - in any event
your report seems to hint towards a driver issue.
