So with Xen 4.2 you probably used qemu-dm (qemu traditional)..
What "non-standard" modes are you adding?

Yeah, and Xen 4.3 defaults to using qemu-upstream as a default, 
so it's quite different from the old qemu-dm.

Note that you can still make Xen 4.3 use the old qemu-dm aswell.

Sorry, I'm not aware of how to do that with 4.3 ..
