I think we're still having a conversation about how scripts should be
run, which is tied up with the BSD xenbackendd stuff.

Some of Roger's patches could probably be applied anyway but I haven't
had time yet to decide exactly which.

Urgh, now you've drawn my attention to this I've just read that patch.
How unpleasant.  I think we should break that into its own function.
