Re: [Xen-users] Re: [Xen-devel] Requesting Assistance from Intel Engineers on Intel Integrated Graphics (IGD) VGA Passthrough for Xen 4.0.1-RELEASE and pv-ops dom0 kernel 2.6.32.x

Dear Weidong,

I have given memory=2048 a try but Windows XP HVM domU still crashes within 2 minutes after booting up.

Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough with Xen 4.0.1 and pv-ops dom0 kernels 2.6.32.x may be a bit unstable.

Dear Weidong,

Thank you for your response.

I have had great success in VGA passthrough with Xen 3.5-unstable but not so much for Xen 4.0.1. The system is very unstable and Windows XP Home Edition HVM domU crashes with a BSOD after a short while.

I don't think the memory parameter in Windows XP HVM domU configuration file impacts system stability but I will give it a try.

Thank you very much.
