[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1773] New: new 3.0.0 kernel cannot connect to network
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1773
Summary: new 3.0.0 kernel cannot connect to network
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Linux-pv_ops dom0
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: johneed@xxxxxxxxxxx
Have prepared the new kernel 3.0.0, system gento amd64 testing.
version of xen hypervisor installed is xen-4.1.0-rc7-pre.gz.
Despite many attempts the gentoo prepared xen-4.1.0.gz kills the gentoo system
via rebooting.
I have also a gentoo xen kernel 2.6.34-r4 and a gentoo xen kernel 2.6.38-r1.
These two kernels achieve the correct results on booting both dom0 and domU.
The 3.0.0 kernel boots dom0 effectively, but any attempt to boot a vm fails in
the consistent error.
idella@gentoo64 /usr/src/linux $ sudo xm create Lenny.com.cfg
Password:
Using config file "/etc/xen/Lenny.com.cfg".
Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.
