http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1513 Summary: i8254 mode0 problem Product: Xen Version: 3.0 (general) Platform: x86 URL: http://www.haiku-os.org OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HVM AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: stefano.ceccherini@xxxxxxxxx Trying to run Haiku on Xen result in a hang on start. The interrupts are never triggered, it seems. Haiku uses the CH0 PIT timer in mode0 for the scheduler. Changing the haiku pit code to use mode1 which is (almost) functionally equivalent results in a working system. Haiku can also use the LAPIC, and this also results in a non-working system, but this should be a different bug. ISO images available on request. Haiku works correctly on most real iron, and on many virtualization systems (VMWare, VirtualBox, QEMU, etc.). Here is the link to the haiku bug tracker where the bug is... well, tracked. http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/4500 and http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/4574 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
