[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1478] New: Linux guest boots up very slow with SDL rendering

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1478

Summary: Linux guest boots up very slow with SDL rendering
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: HVM
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: haicheng.li@xxxxxxxxx

Environment:
------------
Service Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): PAE/IA32e
Guest Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): All
Guest OS Type (Linux/Windows):Linux Only
Change Set: 19591/19634

Bug detailed description:
--------------------------
Boot Linux guest in SDL mode in local X Windows, it will cost about 5 minutes.
the guest VGA display is abnormal, it renders the guest VGA fragmentarily.
the normal booting costs about 1 minute, but it costs about 4.5 minutes in this
condition. I try both C/S 19591 and 19634, it can be reproduced easily.

this issue only exists when we boot up guest in X windows with SDL mode. if we
boot it in a VNC desktop, even if we use 'sdl=1', we can not reproduce it.

And more, this issue does not happen for Windows Guest, we can reproduce it
with Linux guest only.

Reproduce steps:
----------------
1.prepare a Linux guest
2.enable 'sdl=1' in configure file
3.boot up this guest in X window
