[Xen-API] ATA Kernel Warnings

Hi All,

I have a bunch of Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers with TEAC DV-28E-V DVD ROM
running XCP 1.1. My kernel logs are filled with the following messages.

2014.01.10 - 13:17:22   vmhost1 Warning kernel   kernel: ata1: device not ready
(errno=-16), forcing hardreset
2014.01.10 - 13:17:17   vmhost1 Warning kernel   kernel: ata1: link is slow to
respond, please be patient (ready=0)
2014.01.10 - 13:17:12   vmhost1 Error   kernel   kernel: ata1.00: status: {
DRDY ERR }
2014.01.10 - 13:17:12   vmhost1 Error   kernel   kernel: res

2014.01.10 - 13:17:12   vmhost1 Warning kernel   kernel: ata1.00: qc timeout
(cmd 0xa0)

I also have other Dell PowerEdge systems with non TEAC DV-28E-V DVD ROM running
XCP 1.1 and those systems are not reporting any of the above kernel warnings.
Looking into the issue I found that there is a bug in XenServer 5.6 running on
systems with TEAC DV-28E-V DVD ROM. The bug report can be found at
http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX126919. Though this bug is not causing my
Dom0 CPU to overload, I suspect ATA kernel warnings are related to this bug.

There is a driver update that was released by Citrix. I believe that the
updated driver is included in XCP 1.1. This can be confirmed by executing
"modinfo ata_generic" command. This leaves me wondering if the ATA kernel
warnings are related to the bug mentioned above.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
Amit
