Re: [Xen-API] Pool master error

Hi,

Server 2 will not automatically become master when server 1 is shut down. It will by default wait indefinitely until the master becomes contactable again.

If the master has crashed and is unrecoverable, you can call “xe pool-emergency-transition-to-master” on server 2’s CLI to cause server 2 to become the new master.

If you want to make server 2 the master while both servers are up and running, call “xe pool-designate-new-master host-uuid=<server 2’s uuid>” on the CLI on either machine.

Hope this helps,

John
