This is great news, Mike. Will project Swizzle also mean the DDK will be available for XCP again? -----Original Message----- From: Mike McClurg [mailto:mike.mcclurg@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, August 31, 2012 7:05 AM To: admin@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: lars.kurth@xxxxxxx; community.manager@xxxxxxx; 'Tom Putnam'; xen-api@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [Xen-API] XCP 1.5 Release Date On 29/08/12 17:38, admin@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Will there be a build of XenCenter released that natively understands XCP > version numbers, or will XCP users still need to manually hack the version > numbers? The next release of XenCenter has been made to understand XCP version numbers. XenServer has both a product_version and platform_version number, whereas XCP just has a platform_version number. All new releases of XenServer and XCP will have a common platform_version between them. > Also, please post a link to "Project Swizzle". There is no public link because this was an internal project to rework our internal build system. The basic idea is that our build system creates both a XenServer and XCP build from the same set of sources, which means that we no longer have to delay an XCP release after XenServer releases (no more 6 month beta periods, etc.).
