Hi,

I've been playing with boxgrinder

http://boxgrinder.org/

and using it to make CentOS VMs from simple 'spec' files. I'm interested to see
if we could use it to produce 'driver domain' VM images.

In case it's useful to anyone else, I've just written a python program to
import a generated VM directly into an XCP host:

https://github.com/xen-org/xen-api/pull/688

After running boxgrinder-build, you run

$ import-boxgrinder.py -s http://server -u root -p password foo.xml

If someone wanted to, they could create a boxgrinder plugin to support
deployment on XCP. There are already quite a few, including one for EC2. I
would have tried this myself but I would have had to learn ruby first :-)

Cheers,
Dave
