[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Very basic question
I want to install xen and began reading the beginner's docunmentation. If xen is (or can be) a type 1 hypervisor, why do the instructions require installing a Linux distribution such as Debian and then installing the xen-system-amd64 package? Is xen running under the distribution? If so, how is it different than qemu/libvirt/kvm? If it isn't, how does xen relate to the distribution used to install it? Thanks for any and all explanation.
