Hello everybody.

After a lot of experiences with others kernels and it's parameters I found a workaround.
Removing the parameter "console=XXX " from the kernel line a new PV guest deploys (beyond the others 50 PV guests already running with this parameter).
Of course, after that I can't access this new guests through xl console command.

Until now this problem seems to happen only with PV guests while I have no problems deploying more HVM guests.

This workaround if fine for my current purpose, but it will be interesting understand why this happen.

I will back if I have any news.
Thank you for all you help me.

Andrey

Hello xen users

No relevant messages in logs I found.

No messages appears in console log, even in the hypervisor.log

Those are not enabled by default. Have you enabled them?

There is a trick:

xl create -p VM.cfg
(in another xterm) xl console VM
xl unpause VM

This might help extract some information.

The tests were did under xen versions 4.4.4, 4.6.1, 4.6.3 and 4.7

The xen.gz line command contains loglvl=all guest_loglvl=all parameters.
And please also check xl dmesg

Wei.

I also looked for any kind of limitation constant (like "50") in the source
files with no success.
I'm running in a dual Xeon X5660 (12 cores / 24 HT) and 64 GBytes RAM. Each
VM consumes less the 400 MB of RAM.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Andrey
