Dear all,

I plan to pass through an 3.5" external HDD enclosure attached to a USB 3.0 port to Windows 7 HVM guest under Xen 4.5.

During studying this pageÂhttp://wiki.xen.org/wiki/XenUSBPassthroughÂandÂhttp://xenbits.xen.org/docs/4.5-testing/man/xl.cfg.5.html, there is statement seems to state that Xen 4.5 only support USB pass through by emulated USB from configuration file. In order to leverage the speed of USB 3.0, I seem to have to use the option "usbversion" to specify usb3 but it is currently incompatible with option "usb" & "usbdevice".

Then if I want my Windows guest to access the HDD with near to USB 3.0 speed, what should I do ? Use Xen 4.6?

Regards
Lok
