I would like to get my network back up.
I have jessie on a laptop and have started the installation process for Xen 4.4
. I installed:
apt-get install xen-linux-system, the network bridge, and then the tutorial pv.
I then:
dpkg-divert --divert /etc/grub.d/08_linux_xen --rename /etc/grub.d/20_linux_xen
Leaving 'local diversion of /etc/grub.d/20_linux_xen to
/etc/grub.d/08_linux_xen'
and then:
update-grub
apt-get install xen-tools
xen-create-image --hostname=test01-pv-guest \
--memory=512mb \
--vcpus=2 \
--lvm=xenvg \
--dhcp \
--pygrub \
--dist=jessie
This all completed without error. I had to stop here as I did not know how to
connect to this vm with a virtual console ( I could use some help here also).
I rebooted the computer and when I logged back on neither the wifi nor Ethernet
would run (ping fails and no internet access). They both show up in ifconfig:
# ifconfig

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get the network back up and what
may have caused this as I have another machine on which to make this
installation.
Additionally, Xen 4.4 was the latest available per the apt-get. Is this the
version I should be using?
