Ian,

Sarah and I had worked on this yesterday and just couldnât figure out 
what the exact cause was.  If i build grub2 on a CentOS6 server with the 
CentOS/Xen devel rpms grub2 fails randomly across my hosts.  When i 
built grub2 on a Ubuntu trusty machine using Ubuntuâs provided xen devel 
and build tools the problem seams to have corrected itself.  So at this 
point Iâm lost as to the cause and will just build grub2 on a Ubuntu 
machine instead.  I could try and debug this more if your interested, i 
just need to know how?  The xend and xend-debug logs don't look to 
provide any good information.  I enable debugging in my grub.cfg but no 
debug information is ever displayed.
