This seems to be recognizing the ata10,the /dev/sdf with its 3 partitions, and the LVM partition with the /dev/mapper/ubuntu--gnome--vg-root, but still not booting...
Can anyone help me?

During the weekend I tried to upgrade the kernel to a newer stable version to check if something auto-fixed, but nothing changed apparently.

Then I wonder if you are seeing the same case as
http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2014-04/msg01898.html and
that therefore pci-phantom=<something> is what is needed?

In the absence of complete logs I'm not sure what <something> is, but it
will be the PCI BDF of the problematic storage controller device.

Can you help me with the working system's dmesg? I can't find a way to extract the buggy dmesg from initramfs... Below is my full dmesg:
