[Xen-users] XEN with 3 Centos VM/guest: BRIDGED/ROUTE ?

I am trying to setup 3 Centos VM on a XEN 6.4 (on CENTOS)

One of the important decision is how to setup networking: BRIDGED or ROUTE

My greatest priority is to be able to handle DDOS against the VMs. Since
there is only one physical NIC which is on the host, would ROUTE be the best
setup as it allows for complete control of packets in/out of the VM (and
host). I need to be able to filter the packets as early as possible.

I suppose VM can have their own fw (iptables) to protect against each other
etc...

Apologies for terminology - I am new to XEN/networking.
