I know this is an old thread, but wanted to clear things up into this tidy
little note.


When installing Xen 4 on debian squeeze, the networking needs to be
configured:

/etc/network/interfaces

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
auto eth0
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

And that will get rid of the Line 240 error.   Simple as that.   What is
going on is the new NetworkManager doesn't work well with Xen.  You can do
yourself a favor by removing it:

$ sudo aptitude purge network-manager
