I've given it a look some time ago, but the build of newlib (if I remember correctly) had dependencies on a bunch of Linux header files which are not present on NetBSD. I guess a solution would be to ship all those necessary headers with stubdoms, and use them when needed, but I'm afraid that will probably crash with headers already present in NetBSD.
