Any major distribution shipping Xen normally works out-of-the box. 
Ubuntu is one of them. Whatever your problem is, it's probably not about 
the right installation CD.

Does this appear in your Dom0 (host system) or in DomU (guest VM)?

Did it worked fine in any moment? Stopped to work after you did what?
