Thanks for that tip. It took some work and old hardware but I got it
to work, and I now have a complete log.

Unfortunately I have no real idea what it says is going wrong, beyond
that it does find and boot the dom0 kernel but then crashes with
"invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP". I'm putting it here in the hope that
someone can make sense of it.
