[Xen-users] resize of iscsi LVM storage

Hi,

scenario is like this:

Xen 3.4.3 host on CentOS 5.6 with 2TB space connected via iscsi.
That SAN space is controlled by LVM.

Every virtual machine (PV) has its own LVM partition.

Now the 2TB space is full.

There are 2 options:

a) resize from 2TB to 5TB

b) add new volumegroup to Xen host

Important condition is - virtual machines must not be affected/powered down.

a) resize on SAN than rescan of iscsi target on xen host, partprobe, pv
extension, vg extension

b) create new lun on SAN than rescan of iscsi target on xen host,
pvcreate and vgcreate

What scenario is workable?

Even the iscsi target rescan - wouldn't it disconnect current VMs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Peter
