To understand any answer deeper than that, you need to at least have created a guest/domU from scratch, with manually-created domU config file. OK, I found some useful information about this topic! Now I understand the differences about file, tap and phy. In the past I always used virt-manager to create guests. Virt-manager creates an image. So I think it is tap-mode as default, wright? Thank you for your help!!!! It was really great! Now I know which keywords I have to use for my search and can study intensively this topic. ;-)
