Re: [Xen-users] XEN Dom0 hangs on boot with linux kernel 3.x

Hmm this is strange.

I am using both gentoo-sources-3.1.0-r1 and gentoo-sources-3.0.7 just fine..

Attached is my working 3.1.0-r1 config. It's fairly bare because I have pretty limited needs on my desktop.

Good luck,

Joseph.

Nevermind, it seems that kernel v3.2-rc1 fixes this problem.

I strongly recommend you to not use it since it brings other issues. At least wait until it's stabilised.

We own the same machine bought from Abaco Computers. It runs an Atom Intel 330 processor so, actually, it runs on paravirtualisation. Your configuration is the same (and mandatory to run a dom0 kernel, to be honest) and it should definitively work. The problem is that there is no error during the boot as you can see from the picture. We are trying to understand where the problem is but no clue, zero ideas.

I have an absurd problem too, as one of my previous email says. The only thing that comes on my mind now is that some kernel module could be a disturb to the dom0 configuration. The problem is to know what this module is. Bye!
