I need to add physical cdrom on domU windows and ubuntu. I try with same physical disk on same server, only once domU active for each test. On windows 7 pro 64 bit with gplpv build 308 with cfg 'phy:/dev/scd0,hdc:cdrom,r' works correctly. On Lucid desktop 64 bit (ubuntu 10.04) (domU pv) with cfg 'phy:/dev/scd0,xvdb:cdrom,r' does not work correctly. On "computer resources", the cdrom unit is without name of cdrom and is impossible open it. I search on syslog on Lucid domu and find this: ... Dom0 is Squeeze with kernel 2.6.32 from Squeeze repository and xen 4.0.2-rc3 from source Lucid domU is with kernel 2.6.32 from Lucid repository. All dom0 and domU package is already update to last version on repository, also kernels.
