Dear Weidong and Pasi,Please re-visit the Xen 4 Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough case of Tang-Hsun Tu (æåè) on 22nd July 2010 at the following link. http://www.mailinglistarchive.com/html/xen-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/2010-07/msg01147.htmlApparently, the problems both of us have encountered in Xen 4 VGA passthrough are very similar. Please watch my Youtube video on Intel IGD VGA Passthrough with Xen 4.0.1-RELEASE, pv-ops dom0 kernel 2.6.32.21, and Windows XP HVM again. The link is provided below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdD25DREx0gCould we work together to resolve the stability issues in Xen 4.0.1 Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough to Windows operating system HVM virtual machine? Thank you very much. -- Yours sincerely, Mr. Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming) åæé Dip(Mechatronics) BEng(Hons)(Mechanical Engineering) Citizenship: Singapore Citizen/Singaporean Facebook account: Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming) Facebook link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000750083982 Facebook photos: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000750083982#!/profile.php?id=100000750083982&v=photos Facebook videos: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000750083982&v=app_2392950137 Mobile Phone (Starhub pre-paid): +65-8369-2618 Windows Live Messenger: teoenming-at-hotmail.com Location: Bedok Reservoir Road, Singapore ZIP: 470103 My Open Letter (Plea for Medical Help/Assistance) to World Leaders (Updated 28 August 2010):- http://lists.mcs.anl.gov/pipermail/mpich-discuss/2010-August/007811.html http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2010-August/295952.html http://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-user/msg_f6a341d9623fda17880159b137c07335.xml Photo of Mr. Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming) åæé of Singapore: http://i53.tinypic.com/207tamp.jpgOn 09/18/2010 06:21 PM, "Mr. Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming) åæé of Singapore" wrote: I have also tried booting Xen 4.0.1 hypervisor and pv-ops dom0 kernel 2.6.32.21 and then launch Windows XP HVM domU with-OUT VGA passthrough from within X Windowing Server (GNOME Desktop Environment). The guest operating system (WinXP HVM) in this case is perfectly stable and doesn't crash. There could be stability issues with the Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough code in Xen 4.0.1. I have noticed that the screen/monitor tends to garbage out within 2 minutes after Windows XP HVM domU has booted up (with VGA passthrough enabled).Thank you. _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
