Hi All,According to http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenKernelFeatures, Jeremy's kernel should support blktap2 properly but I'm not having any luck with it. I've got CONFIG_XEN_BLKDEV_TAP set in the kernel (tried both built in and a module) and dmesg shows it coming up on bootup: [ 0.566220] blktap_device_init: blktap device major 253 [ 0.566574] blktap_ring_init: blktap ring major: 251 but in /dev/xen/ I have no blktap device, just these: crw-rw---- 1 root root 10, 61 Jul 22 07:11 evtchn crw-rw---- 1 root root 10, 60 Jul 22 07:11 gntdev stracing blktapctrl shows it looking for a blktap0 in there:[pid 6545] open("/dev/xen/blktap0", O_RDWR) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) debug output from blktapctrl:Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:790: blktapctrl: v1.0.0 Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [raw image (aio)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [raw image (sync)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [vmware image (vmdk)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [ramdisk image (ram)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [qcow disk (qcow)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:792: Found driver: [qcow2 disk (qcow2)] Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl_linux.c:86: blktap0 open failed Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:859: couldn't open blktap interface Jul 22 15:25:58 xen4.nmsrv.com BLKTAPCTRL[2730]: blktapctrl.c:922: Unable to start blktapctrl Am I missing something obvious here?
