Have you read the doc ? If yes, you miss the part where it explains that if you set ram or cpu, you need to define it first in the .cfg file. Example : vcpus = '2'. Then, if you want to reduce vCPU, you can enter the command. But vcpus is the max amount of vcpus, and the vcpus number at start of your domU. For memory, it's different (mem and max mem). Olivier.
