Hi,

 

Dom-U to Dom0 networking performance is often software/driver limited. A paravirt VM will perform much better than an HVM here, James Harper is a developer for the Windows GPL-PV drivers, he would likely have much more detail if you need it.

Probably the performance issue comes along once in a while, sometimes related to mal-functioning hardware or misconfiguration.

 

But i wonder if something in general could  be said about reachable targets:

·         Disk-io

·         Network-io

 

Considering disk-io, obviously one is limited by the weakest link in the chain (underlying real-disk or network)

Same about network-io, when connecting to other (physical) machines.

But the network connection dom-U/dom-0, what are here the limitations?
