[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-users] Limit on Number of VMs?
Hi All,
I am wondering if there is any limit on the number of VMs supported by Xen.
I was trying to create as more VMs as possible on my server.
When I had started about 150 VMs, the newly created VMs just crashed.
The error messages suggested that the hypervisor could not allocate memory
pages for the newly created VMs.
But the output messages of xentop command showed that there was enough memory
space left.
My grub.conf is:
title CentOS (2.6.18-164.6.1.el5xen)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /xen.gz-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5
module /vmlinuz-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5xen ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
module /initrd-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5xen.img
My Xen version number is 3.1.2(x86_64).
My server configuration is:
Intel 16 core SMP CPU
72G Memory
1TB HDD
Could anyone give me some hints?
Many thanks!
