I'm having trouble booting the Xen kernel. The error message is: cannot open root device "/dev/sdaX" or unkown block (0,0), which is causing a kernel panic. My menu.lst file contains the following entry title Xen 3.0 / XenLinux 2.6 kernel /xen.gz dom0_mem=512M module /vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen root=/dev/sda6 ro console=tty0 'df' yields the following: /dev/sda6 15116836 6040976 8307956 43% / tmpfs 1002704 0 1002704 0% /lib/init/rw varrun 1002704 112 1002592 1% /var/run varlock 1002704 0 1002704 0% /var/lock udev 1002704 156 1002548 1% /dev tmpfs 1002704 76 1002628 1% /dev/shm lrm 1002704 2192 1000512 1% /lib/modules/2.6.28-15-server/volatile /dev/sda5 202187 94289 97459 50% /boot /dev/sda7 50396528 10802436 37034140 23% /home and although I suspect the problem has something to do with the partitioning of /boot and /, I would appreciate some advice on possible remedies. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Partitioned-Ubuntu-menu.lst-settings---tp25943667p25943667.html Sent from the Xen - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
