[Xen-users] Terrible Xen 3.4 performance

Hello everybody,

First I need to mention this is my first contact with Xen and virtual machines 
at all.

I compiled the xen linux kernel, installed xen, tools, etc. and just booted for 
the first time with the xen-linux kernel. Well, it works but it's not really 
possible to work on this machine. The performance is terrible. For example, it 
takes up to 1-2 minutes until I can switch between windows or to open the 
terminal. It took like incredibly long time after booting to show the initial 
Ubuntu screen, probably 5 minutes or longer. I can even hardly move the mouse 
and as soon as I try to open a program (terminal or firefox) everything freezes.

I got Xen 3.4 with kernel 2.6.18.

I would be happy if you could point me to some probable solutions or the issue 
I might be having. I got no no idea what the problem could be.
