I just found the post - it looks like it was you :).

I installed W2K3, it worked.  I installed the GPLPV drivers, it didn't
work.  I installed SP2 through windows update, it worked again.

I'm tempted to look at slipstreaming both SP2 and the GPLPV drivers
onto my windows CD.  It would be nice to have it 'just work'
automatically.
