  • Thread-topic: Possible race condition?

I have a simple setup, xen is running domU's against block devices
shared from another server via gnbd. Every once in a while, full virt
windows 2k3 domUs are rebooting and corrupting the MBR of the instance.
Its easy enough to fix, however, and in addition I am planning to
upgrade/patch xen to the latest levels per Redhat/Centos.

Is anyone aware of a bug/race condition during a reboot issued in the
windows OS that might cause the domU going down and the domU coming up
to both try and access the gnbd imported block device, and cause it to
corrupt?
