[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: [Xen-users] two network interfaces and HVM
I don't believe you can create a virtual wireless NIC, and it is rare that you can use bridging over a wireless NIC (so the best option would be passing through the wireless adapter, which you have indicated you can't do), however, you might be able to configure the wireless NIC in dom0 and then use routing to DMZ NAT it to a secondary interface created on the WinXP domU. I don't know how to do DMZ NAT in Linux, but it should be easy to find out. The real challenge will probably be running bridging and routing side-by-side. I have seen threads for doing so on this list in the past, but I don't know if it is even possible to do both on the same domU. You could always use DMZ NAT routing for both interfaces, but depending on what you are using the machine for, having the "wired" wireless connection showing the wrong IP may be more than confusing enough. There are two NICs in the system, an ethernet card and a wireless card, both perfectly running on dom0. domU is bridged through eth0 (ethernet card), but I can't see the wireless card on domU, even if it's configured or not in dom0. How should I configure the domU to see the wireless card? Can I use the wireless card only in the domU without configure it on dom0? (I can't use pci-passthrough on amd). I'm using gplpv regards, -- edu gargiulo _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
