that's initrd-tools, one binary, some scripts and a hand full of documentation 
files.
this package won't break anything.

ïno. the initrd file is generated on the fly when you install the
kernel package.
use:
dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-vserver-686
