Removing the e1000 module did the trick. I will rebuild the initrd again and configure the network parameters.
Well, since your domu is based on rhel4, you will probably need to download
the kernel-xen-2.6.21.7-3.fc8.i686.rpm separately from the F8 repos, and
then 'rpm -ihv' it.
