According to Red Hat's release notes of RHEL 5 update 1 the 32-bit on 64 dom0 is a "technology preview". What that means is, if you are lucky, the instance will come up but it will crash as soon as you do any kind of I/O. The Xen redhat distributes in that version is labeled xen 3.0.3 but when it boots it says xen 3.1.0. I tried to run it but backed out after about a day and am now usingthe xen 3.1.0 tarballs from xen.org on top of the redhat distro for my xen kernel and xen tools. That works OK but it seems like nobody is patching the tarballs at that site anymore to cover the various security vulnerabilities that have come out against Xen in the last few months. Those tarballs haven't been rebuilt since mid-2007 but they are the only thing that works for me.
