I assume you're running out of loop devices, just try

rmmod loop
echo "options loop max_loop=64" >/etc/modprobe.d/loop
modprobe loop

alternatively you might want to change the max_loop via grub by changing
menu.lst.

module /vmlinuz [...] ro console=tty0 max_loop=64
