Hi I installed Xen-3.0.4 in Scientific linux 4 (kernel version 2.6.16.33) by following the instructions given in following link http://project-xen.web.cern.ch/project-xen/xen/howto_slcXen.html I ve created the Xen0 Domain and now the problem is with the networking the hostname and the ip not assigned to the DomainU. Im using the default bridge network configuration. Also ive changed the linux-2.6.16.33-xenU/.config file and added the following CONFIG_IP_NF_MATCH_PHYSDEV=m Still the iptables are not enabled in my DomU Im getting the following error while i m creating domU with xm create command also the lib modules entry is available /etc/fstab of DomU Ip tables are still disabled ..Please help me how to enable them ..Im using the linux-2.6.16.33 kernel 3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Switching to new root INIT: version 2.85 booting Welcome to Scientific Linux CERN Release 3.0.5 (SL) Press 'I' to enter interactive startup. Configuring kernel parameters: [ OK ] Setting clock (localtime): Fri Nov 2 10:51:24 CET 2007 [ OK ] Setting hostname localhost.localdomain: [ OK ] modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.6.16.33-xen/modules.dep (No such file or directory) modprobe: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.6.16.33-xen/modules.dep (No such file or directory) Initializing USB controller (usb-uhci): modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.6.16.33-xen/modules.dep (No such file or directory) [FAILED] Initializing USB controller (ehci-hcd): modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.6.16.33-xen/modules.dep (No such file or directory) [FAILED] Remounting root filesystem in read-write mode: [ OK ] Activating swap partitions: [ OK ] Finding module dependencies: depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented My question now whether i ve to manually configure the /etc/sysconfig/network and /etc/sysconfig/network-scrips/ifcfp-eth0 in DomU or it will be automatically done by the xen-networking scripts?
